Classic and Hex Chess Boards in the 3.5 order.
This is the Goldilocks zone for chess. Players will encounter a more fleshed out and dynamic openings, mid-games, and end games due to board size and piece diversity.
Being that the classic(12×12) and hex(9×6) boards are between orders, strategy pieces can be used from both the 3rd and 4th orders in order to build unique Orthodox chess armies.
With the board being larger, It was possible to balance:
The jump/strafe ratio across the entire army.
The move/capture ratio across the pawn/Berolina pawn line.
The blind/non-blind ratio across the strategy pieces.
